It has been awesome living here for the past 3 months as my boyfriend and I are from out of state. Any time we have needed something fixed maintenance is here within 24 hours which is great. Everyone is very friendly and the amenities are amazing.

I’ve met a few of my neighbors and they are nothing but nice and welcoming!! Everybody’s dogs are so cute and friendly! The package system besides Fetch could use some work. I know that’s something being fixed!

Everything about The Shay is what is advertised. After looking at apartments throughout Nashville, The Shay was definitely the best option given how well taken care of its facilities are. It's not your average cookie-cutter apartment, it is unique and has the best sense of community of any other apartment I've lived in. Additionally, it is super dog-friendly.

The stay has been generally pleasant, but it’s too expensive for what it is. Not the ideal place to work from home as I expected. There’s been a few power outages, fire alarms and a lot of barking dogs.

Awesome ability to check in and feel very welcome. The pool area is great and move-in was very easy. Being able to get anywhere in Nashville is a breeze and this area feels like a community of tightknit people.

Great place to live, very pet friendly, and love all the amenities. Only area of improvement is trash/recycling pick up. The trash valet is always timely but they don't often drop the recycling bags (if that happens you have to go to the front office and travel down the hall every time) and trash can pile at the ends of each floor when people move out (also understandable and out of the way but can be an eye sore). Overall staff is amazing and extremely helpful and we have enjoyed living here.

Love it here! Only small complaint is still package delivery. Fetch was a good attempt but too often they move my delivery day to the next day and sometimes they just leave my package in the lobby like UPS would do.

I’ve enjoyed living here for about 2 years. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. The complex it maintained well however the carpet in the hallways is often dirty/stained. They do a great job cleaning it when they do, I just wish it was more often.

The area feels safe and inviting. The staff has been nothing but kind and patient with me and my partner as we move in and settle into the new apartment. The amenities are fantastic and can’t wait to invite friends over to lay out and swim!

Living here is like living in a resort. We have a pool side view and all summer long it's a great atmosphere of people, music and fun. Everything dies down before 10 pm, then we all relax and enjoy our night. The fact that you can walk out front to your own pound means you can be in nature in less than 5 minutes to decompress and step away from the stresses of life. Truly is the best place to live.

I’ve enjoyed living here! Amenities are great, and the building is nice! I not so long ago got locked out of my apartment late at night and Davis came to the rescue within minutes, which was a life saver. If I had complaints, the carpets along the 5th floor leading to the trash shoot by the garage are in critical condition. And an upgrade to the gym equipment would be greatly appreciated

When I first saw the Shay I thought it was a hotel, then I thought there is no way I can live here, but I went inside. The staff was so welcoming, the smell of the lobby was like a vacation and now I live here and I love it. Fun community all the time, weekend pool parties until 10 pm and then quiet all through the night. Great DJ music near the pool if you want that, or quiet peaceful workrooms with Zoom TV hook ups. You will die when you see the gym, 2 floors! They have thought of everything here, very accommodating to the new work from home atmosphere.

I’ve enjoyed everything thus far! Moving in was simple. My only suggestion would be to have the front desk attendant or someone else give a tour for residents who have never been there for their first move in. As well as give a packet of information on common community items.

I love this place and have rented 3 different apartments from here. My only complaint is that the pool can get very rowdy which is rough when you have a pool-facing unit. I am also experiencing ongoing issues with the keypad on my door going dead for no reason, thus locking me out. So far this has happened 3x (twice after hours meaning I had to wait 45 min for the on-call maintenance person to come save me). I'm still waiting to hear back from management about helping me fix this issue one and for all.

Living at The Shay is wonderful. The complex is very quiet, even with the train going next to it. Management is very responsive and always on point. Additionally, this is a VERY pet friendly residence. I believe at least 80% of the residents have pets, and most are pretty responsible. There is a pound and green walk next to the building that is great. It is also fairly close to downtown and Sylvan Park. The garage is gated which is a plus, but sometimes its hard to find a spot if you live from the 4th floor down. One thing that I love is how responsive management is if someone is parking on an electric vehicle spot without having an electric car or the car has been charging for the past 24hrs. My only complaint is really the structure. You can hear the upstairs neighbour stomping on the floor like they are using concrete shoes.

The Shay has been the best! Quick to respond, helpful, hospitable, and even left us robes, wine glasses, and a card upon move in. A fantastic and fun location, and best of all no extra hidden fees like $150+ for parking like every other apartment. The amenities are incredible, the units are great sizes, and its walkable to so many things. We love it here!

Overall, I really love living at The Shay, but there’s a few issues I’ve been experiencing this year compared to last year. Here are a list of pros and cons: Pros: love amenities, love the new features in my apartment unit, love the modern vibe of the entire building, love the location being close to downtown. Cons: the carpets in the hallway NEED to be cleaned. Stains are all over on the 5th floor & smell from dog urine and garbage spills. I really wish these would be cleaned monthly as that’s what I was told the policy was when I signed my lease. It’s embarrassing inviting friends over & the carpets are such an eye sore. Also, the construction across from my apartment for the new Haven off of Charlotte is SO annoying. Since I work from home I’m having to hear them drill rock all day. Also, they start right at 7AM every morning so it wakes me up everyday. Really wish they had a noise limit being so close to our building.

Overall it’s a good experience. Sometimes the person or people above me are quite loud. You can’t rebuild the building and put concrete in the floor. Also, it would be nice if the pool was heated and all of the gym equipment worked.

I really love how nice and clean the building is. The people are very friendly. The office used to be extremely friendly. They're still nice, but it's hard to be relatable when there's so much turnover that you hardly recognize people.

I really like the Shay. I really don’t like how it isn’t safe anymore. After the countless car break ins and the gunpoint incident, something needs to be done about safety. Other than that, it’s a great place to be!

Honestly, the Shay is just shy of perfect for us as every aspect, from the property itself, to the amenities, the staff, location, and safety are just awesome. We have had a long standing issue with our upstairs neighbors being noisy two days a week at the same time of day and although we have reached out to the Shay twice, it did not alleviate the issue. Without the noise issue, I would give the Shay 5 stars for sure!

I love living at the Four Shay-sons! Beautiful property, conveniently located near Centennial Park and everything you would want to do. Great washer and dryer. Love the high ceilings and cicadian lighting. The gym is unbelievable.

I been living at The Shay for over 2 weeks now and I am so happy to be apart of this community. The apartment amenities, such as the gym, pool, and sitting areas, are so nice and well-maintained. I really enjoy my new apartment. It’s very spacious and I like all the modern appliances. The neighbor is great and the location is close to many good restaurants. I really enjoy living here so far!

Overall our time at the Shay has been great! Loved the amenities and the location. Unit was a good size for our needs and the staff were friendly. Management doesn’t always seem to be able to get stuff done that needs to be done, yet I’m not sure if that’s a them problem or a corporate problem. If we were staying in Nashville next year, we would most likely renew our lease.

Love living here and things are continuously improved. Since my last review I noticed improvements specifically around security. The management does a great job and maintenance turnaround times have been great so far. Only comment for improvement I would have: after my last review we were promised some new gym equipment (suggestion: barbells are essential and not existent at this point), which I do not believe has been followed-up on yet. Apologies if I missed anything. Other than that, I can highly recommend The Shay and love living here.

Lived here for a little over a year and so far have had no major issues. Building is always very clean and well kept. No loud neighbors. Plenty of parking and in a good location just outside the city.

Great place to live at! Staff is fantastic, maintenance is always there to clean unnecessary messes! Only con is the thin celings causes you to hear everything upstairs neighbors do!

I just moved here from another apartment downtown and my mental health has skyrocketed. The community is great, the amenities are spectacular, and I finally have my own place (had a roommate previously). I can't wait to see what the future holds!

I have lived here for almost three years now and can not imagine living anywhere else in Nashville! The staff is friendly and helpful and the amenities are wonderful. I have two dogs and we play at the park every single day—it’s so nice having the park so close and a dog wash center inside the building!

The people here are super chill. Every time I go to the BBQ to cook, people are almost always more than happy to say hello. The gym is good too. I LOVE that it's open 24/7. Also, they keep it vey clean and neat.

Love it. Great apartment complex with a very nice community. Always clean and friendly staff! The apartments are nice and so are the amenities. Wish they had a bigger variety of amenities though and would add some stuff to the gym. But that’s criticism on a high standard.

The community spaces are beyond amazing... everything actually works. The complex is very safe... for the most part it’s also very quiet which is a BIG plus. The maintenance staff is very receptive of issues and completing tasks. The one down side is guest parking. For so many units the guest parking fills up fast in the evening hours... other than that... it’s been a great experience thus far.

I love The Shay! My favorite part is that The Shay is in the city, yet tucked away and feels like an oasis. The pond and walkways make it feel as if you are in a park! It's a health conscious community full of sexy people and full of business savvy young professionals. When I walked through the doors at The Shay, I knew it was home.

Everything has been great! The customer service and the amenities are fantastic. I’ve only ever had one problem with the noise from the apartment upstairs at weird times. It sounds like someone is always moving their furniture, but I’m not sure what it is.

We've loved living at The Shay! The building is always clean and the amenities are well-looked after. Our only complaint is that we were told all apartments that were previously homes to pets would have the carpet replaced—we moved into a bedroom with 6-7 pet stains in it:-( The carpet seems to have been cleaned because there is no smell, but it's definitely not the prettiest sight. Luckily our furniture helps to cover things up.

I have enjoyed living at The Shay for almost two years. Naturally, the last 9 months have been difficult for us all, but appreciate the staff taking care of and reopening the amenities when appropriate. The maintenance staff is outstanding, and so are the folks with Trash Faries. The noise level from the residents above me leaves quite a bit to be desired, so please, be considerate of your neighbors.

The community is beautiful, well located and not too loud. I think the cleanliness of the hallways could be improved.I think some of the residents must let their pets relieve themselves in the hall. I also had my door mat stolen from my door which was not appreciated. I did appreciate the efforts of the staff to stay protected during the pandemic. I was encouraged by the availability of wipes a d seeing staff members wear masks.

We love living here at the Shay! It is the perfect community for indoor outdoor living, with tons of green space for your fur babies and a huge zero edge salt water pool, what more could you ask for? Not to mention the expansive multilevel gym and other common spaces, like a library, studios and conference rooms.

We are in our third year of living at The Shay and overall we love it! While it is a pricier option than where we were previously living, the amenities and luxury more than make up for it. The fitness studio is two stories with everything needed to break a sweat and the pool is steps away to cool off afterward.
